Planning Applications

Fire Prevention Plans

Lumnia offer a professional service by our consultant fire risk assessor to work with waste site operators to produce Fire Prevention Plans (FPP). Our team have worked closely with Environment Agency officers to deliver compliant FPPs which support waste site managers. The FPP considers some of the following issues:
  • Fire risk reduction plan
  • Identification of combustible materials
  • Firefighting plan including firefighting facilities and systems that consider the environmental impact of firefighting
  • Information for the fire service and management team
  • Fire water run plan including, where relevant, containment facilities.
All new permits and variation applications must be accompanied by a FPP that conforms with the current Guidance.

Environmental Management Systems

All sites operating under the Environmental Permitting regime are required to have an Environmental Management System (“EMS”) that covers the following:
